portrait of Jazz

Sorry mrs mildonian, I think I can't stick on portfolio drawing. I want to change my concentration to 2D.
This is my friend Jazz and the idea of the square is from Andy Warhol again. I took pictures right before I start some extrem variations that could mess up the whole painting. Please leave comments for the feedbacks.
Thank,
Aaron

  1. I really really like this...and I think that your work does reflect more in the 2D category. Maybe you could experiment with another color, possibly in the highlights of her hair? But overall, it looks great

  2. Okay so I thought I posted a comment on this but it seems to have gone else where. Aaron please bring in your breadth digitally so we can look at it. I dont think you need to apologize but I think you need to understand that if you switch portfolios at this point in the game you need to make sure that your breadth pieces will work in a 2D portfolio as the requirements for this are mandated by the College Board.I really think this piece is interesting and strong. I think its excellent that you are using a photo of someone you know. I think you need to decide what it is about the color you are exploring....how color represents your friends personalities, how color changes the mood etc.
